Lightwarden
Intro
In the game Lightwarden, the player takes on the role of a lighthouse keeper whose task is to warn ships before they crash into the coastline.
The game was developed over the course of two days during the Hack & Play: World Jam 2025, following two out of the three given themes: "One Room" and "Use It Once".
In addition to using the Unity engine, Blender, and Rider IDE, I incorporated a few assets to support development—primarily sound effects, music, and a "Toon Harbor Asset Pack", although the latter was used only minimally.
How to play
- Hold WASD - Movement
- Hold E - Pickup Items
- Press SPACE - Jump
- Hold Shift - Spring
Gameplay
Ships will continuously head toward the coast as long as no lamp is lit in the lighthouse. Use different types of lightbulbs to guide the ships safely along their course.
To place a bulb into the lamp, pick it up with E and insert it into the socket.
There are three types of bulbs, each with a specific function. The colors are explained in the game and you can always read what they do while playing.
- Yellow - Makes Ships move away from the coast.
- Red - Stops ships from spawning.
- Blue - Slows ships
If a ship crashes into the coast in heavy fog, the player loses and is shown their final score.
